Hey Guys,
I was just wondering, how is it possible to store and output in a robots system ? i'm assuming that you need an analog to digital converter to store the message ( the word "hello" as an example) and then a D/A converter to be able to output it to the speakers.. is that correct ? does anyone know of a A/D D/A IC in one ? if not, what are the most popular A/D and D/A converter IC's ?

Thanks

There are IC's that allow you to record messages with minimal external hardware (wish I remembered the manufacturer). You shouldn't have to resort to a sound card and RAM to have your robot speak.
