Anybody here know how to make audio pads? -20dB, -50dB etc. I need to make some with XLR cables too attenuate mic level signal.

Great thanks for the websites. Do you know which pins of the XLR gets the resistors for the T pad?


I assume

pin1 R1 pin2
pin1 R1 pin3
??? shunt ???

Hello,

With the given calculator you can create the attenuation pad needed.
What you need to know is the input impedance, output impedance and attenuation.
For example input 600 Ω, output 10 kΩ, 20 dB will give you the following circuit:
