I have a question in my last assignment, here it is.
A 415V alternator is supplying a load of 55kW at a power factor of 0.65 lagging. Calculate:
A. the KVA loading and
B. the current taken from the alternator
C. If the power factor is raised to unity find the new KVA loading.
Here is what I have,
A 84.615KVA
B 203.892A
C 55KVA
It would be much appreciated if you guys could confirm these for me. I've got myself a little bit confused and I'm pulling my hair out.
