there are many version of ARM processor and ARM controller with different features. but all implement on ARM architecture

ARM - it may be controller or processor depend upon design

arm processor example - ARM cortex a 9, cortex a 15
ARM micro controller example cortex m0 , cortex m1

Does m stand for micro controller and A stand for processor ?

No, the designations are just a shorthand notation for parts with similar feature sets. There is no deep secret meaning to it.

A SHARC processor from Analog Devices is a Digital Signal Processor optimized for doing digital filters. The ARM processors are general purpose.

It is just a name.
Each company has its own named style.do not confuse it any more.go to the official website to choose the appropriate MCU (micro controller uint) or MPU (miro process uint) that adapted for your project.
All arm hard architecture from ARM company share with all world.
