I am trying to develop a more intuitive view of circuits by mentally figuring voltages in circuits. It seems kind of easy to do this with just resistors in series and parallel circuits but when I encounter AC circuits with caps and inductors I usually have to pull out the calculator, or pencil and paper. Are there any tips or shortcuts that allow you to mentally figure the actual voltage drop when you come across a capacitor or inductor in an AC circuit? I don't need precise answers, just close enough to see if there is a problem with the component when troubleshooting.
Thanks
Russ
