In the first attempt, you seem to have it mostly right. At the last step you have the basic relations for I1 correct, but you make a math error at the last calculation. Also, there are a couple of typos with the numbers above that. i see values of 5.8 put in for 5.6.

Also, in the bottom method, the numbers seem just a little off. I didn't track down why, but a I'm guessing you are not being too careful in rounding off, or maybe just a slip of the pen is in there somewhere, but it looks basically correct.
