We are using them at uni and I wanted to find a cheap one to play about with at home. it doesnt have to be a dataman as long as it can turn .jed files into programmed chips then it will be fine. Am not looking to pay £700 and couldnt find anything on ebay so i anyone can point me in the right direction for something that does the same job but cheaper (second hand is fine) then that would be great. thanks

I have one USB GAL programmer here which does not have software available for 64bit Windows. It is only available (means working) for 32bit.

I could sell it for about 50 dollars. Nearly mint condition. Can program many PALs, GALs, EEPROMS, serial FLASH, some PICs, microcontrollers, can test 74xx logic.

For newer CPLD you need a specialized FLASH writer normally, some more expensive device programmers also can program some CPLDs.
