Something I've looked for a few times but have been able to find very little information about are some details about the typical degree to which spread spectrum is exploited in the RC aircraft world.

Specifically, for frequency hop spread spectrum (FHSS) radios, what are typical hop rates, how many total frequencies are there to choose from, how many different frequencies can be used in a given radio's hop set, and how long are typical hop sequences. I don't need exact numbers, just ballpark numbers are fine. For instance, I've run across a note that mentions that Futaba's FASST system has a hop rate of 500 hops/sec.

For direct sequence (DSSS) radios, how long is the typical chip sequence and what is a typical chip rate?
