I think we've gone indifferent directions

I am going to build your circuit from post #23. I am just not quite sure where to connect the switches (high or low) and do they need pull up resistors.
I have been trying to build it in an emulator but with no success.

Daz.
If the switches connect to +V then use a pull down resistor on the IC side. If the switches connect to ground use a pull up resistor on the IC side. I assumed they were active high inputs (switch to +V).
Value of the resistors depends on what family of ICs you buy.

Hi all.
I've been very busy building stuff outside. Like torches and stepping stones.
Now...is any one able to help me why this doesn't work in Tina please?
I've stripped it down to the basics just to see it work.

I have had mentioned that all the inputs after push switches need the pull low resistors as 47K in #34, please don't let any input as floating status.

#42 - Why is each output fed back to only one of the other inputs?
The 12 V common signal to the AND gates (enable?) needs a resistor.
Each pair of LEDs needs a current limiting resistor.

Thanks for the replies.
I did have pull down resistors and limiting resistors but it still wasnt working.
So i took them out in case they were interfering.
Sorry but this circuit is a little above me to understand how to fix it myself.
