Just read around the site. You will see people asking for help with complete designs then ask about getting it manufactured.

Build it, sell it.

If you post your design, you just time and date stamped the publication. Now no-one else can patent it. Then, you will get a free-flow of ideas to make your product better or with less components, which means cheaper, and you can go about the marketing and selling.

If you have $200,000 you would do much better having the design manufactured in lots, and spend your money on marketing.

If you go the "private and patent" route, you will have $20 to manufacture and market the idea.

Get the idea out. After that, your protected from others obtaining patents.. but even if they patent it, If they sue you, they are going to pay for lawyers and the such, and you can stroll in there yourself with a laptop, showing the posts time and date, and its done.. unless they actually published the idea 5 years prior.. then your screwed.

Get it into the public, you will find out by the many people that read your post if it has been done, if it needs help, and if its a good idea.

You seem to want to.
