Any way to simultaneously draw 12V and 24V from a pair of SLA batteries?

Sounds like a viable option. From what I looked up, it looks like I can expect somewhere between 75%-85% efficiency. I wonder if the comparator idea would work. If so, I would imagine the power draw of the circuit would be pretty much negligible. It would also probably be a good amount cheaper.
