Hi All,

I am planing to do a small portable Audio/Video Camera.

This camera must be able to do these simple functions:
- Recording Audio/Video.
- Store it to SD card.

I would like to have "as simple system as we can", so what kind of solution and image processors do you advice us to use for such simple functions?

Given that, I am familiar with all PIC families and Wolfson sound CODECs, but not that familiar with (Image Processor) "or camera controller" ...

Perhaps it would help if you explain why you want to build something you can buy cheaply. Do you need special features, or is this just for learning and fun? Anyone that might help you needs to know what you want to accomplish.

I was looking how the MP3 is working and I learned a lot of stuff about it and I run one using PIC32 and Wolfson CODEC, although I could buy cheaply.

but till now I didn't find a suitable image processor
