i'm trying to set up a wireless link..... bt i've a doubt....

i want to operate at a freq around 400KHz.... now the prob is that the wavelength is around 750meters ..... now the antenna length is 1/4th of the wavelength which makes the antenna of size around 187.5meters

which is impracticle..... now the question is that wat happens if i keep the antenna length of around 0.3 meters for this freq???? will the range be effected or wat?

note: i cant exceed 450KHz and freq planning is not an issue... like the free frequencies....

do a search for a EH ANTENNA design,they are very small but with a narrow bandwidth and kinda tricky to tune.
