What do I have to work with? How about buying a cheap DMM ($12) and using that?

I made this post here first. After the fact I realized that I should of posted in the homework section. Thus my second and almost identical post to this one. So now you know my story. Wont happen again (smiles) because now I am not an 'all about circuits-forum' rookie. I hope!? lol
