Hi there,

I am currently working on a robotics project and am in the process of designing a 4 channel AM remote control. I am a little new to the whole process but think i have found suitable components but have a small question about receivers. Heres the components i have chosen so far.

Transmitter: QAM-TX1 found here

Encoder: RF600E
Decoder: RF600D

for the receiver i am looking at the following two.

QAM-RX4 and the QAM-RX2.

Found here

One is a superheterodyne receiver and the other is a super regen reciever. I have looked them up in textbooks but still struggle to find an answer to which one is most suitable for this application. i have a funny feeling either would be suitable but just wanted to check. any advice would be most appriciated.

thanks,

Lewis

Most super-regen receivers are used in cheap toys and do not perform well.
Most super-heterodyne receivers are high quality and perform very well.
