Am I missing the deal of my life?

My facebook feed has recently been flooded by these clicky-button-looking devices. I've done a little research and they are really not more than buttons with wires that connect to a rig desinged to help less-able persons operate their electronic assistance equipment.
...Which only makes me feel even stronger that it shouldn't cost 50 quid a piece!

Any suggestions why these cost so much?
My only conjecture is that these are usually paid for via insurance claims, where price anomalies are common.

I'd stop wasting your time on Facebook.
totally agree. I used to be addicted. Now, I am only using it for a few moments waiting for my ride home.

Also, it's not facebook to blame here. Apparently, GBP 49.99 is a cracking deal. Other suppliers
of AbleNet compatible buttons sell 'em for USD 120!

Ignore the ads. Facebook is monetizing the time you spend there. The more you click on stupid things, the more money they make. And they target you with more similarly stupid things.
