Your question is not clear, An alternator makes electricity by turning it. Now how do you want to turn it into a motor?
My understanding is that an electric motor is essentially a generator which is used in reverse, and vice-versa. Whether or not this will work in each individual case depends upon the design of the machine. Generally speaking, this will work better for DC machines than for AC machines.

An alternator is not an electric motor only, it has 3phase rectificating biult in. tHE OUTPUT IS THEREFORE DC (A REGULATOR IS ALSO PART OF THE OUTPUT CIRCIUT)
