If they're like most standard LEDs, they need about 10-15mA and you can probably put 3 of them in series, instead of just the one shown, with one resistor. (They might be rated up to 30mA, but they won't be much brighter with that max current, and they won't last as long.)

Personally, I'd start with the resistor shown and lower the resistance value while watching the current level and brightness. Use the highest resistance and lowest current that still gives acceptable brightness.
