Hey guys,

Trying to use an accelerometer at the moment for a project im working on. Im using a SHIMMER and I was just wondering how to use the accelerometer data and how I convert it into g's. It's a tri-axial accelerometer and this is and example of the raw accelerometer data.

The only observation I can make is that the values in the right column don't go above 66000!! Can anyone tell me what these values mean and what they're measured in?

More information is needed.
1. What was the accelerometer doing to produce those numbers?
2. How can one distinguish one channel from another?
3. What was the resolution of the ADC that read in the data? What is the full scale response?
4. What does Biomobius software do? Did it scale the input in some way?
5. Was there a set of amplifiers between the ADC and the accelerometer output? If so, what was the gain?
6. Help us out - what is a "SHIMMER", in some detail.
7. If one is available, post up a schematic of the circuit.
