hello,
ive answered the following question but would like some confirmation that this i correct.
A resistor of 250 ohms is connected in series with a 1.5H inductor, across a 100V, 50 hz supply. calculate a) the current flowing, b) the phase angle, c) the p.d. (voltage) across each component and d) the power dissipated.
a) 0.187 amps
b) 62.07 degres
c) inductor = 88.2 Volts, resistor = 46.5 Volts
d) please help, i cant find the correct formula for the power dissipated.
Am i correct? your help would be much appreciated
thanks keith
