ramancini8 brings up a good point. Actual charging methods that I might still be unclear about, being a beginner and all.

Would charging batteries one at a time be the best way? Would it take the same amount of time ultimatlely?

I picked up some palm batteries, what current should I provide to them, and for how long? He put 400mA but how do I know for sure? I wasnt given a datasheet for the batt.

I think I read somehwhere that some measure the temperature of the batt to know if its charged or not... but mabye im mistaken...

Any thoughts?

If these are lithium batteries...charging methods are not all that simple. They use a combination current, voltage, and temperature control. Not something for the beginner. Improper charging can cause explosion and fire.
