The datasheet for the display shows the pins and their numbers.
The datasheet also tells you many more spec's that you should know.
Why don't you have the datasheet?
I think our OP is confused about where is pin 1 of the display is.
Sometimes the corner of the display is slightly flattened at pin 1. Sometimes there is a slight notch at one end.
Even if you don't have a datasheet available, you can usually figure out which pin does what pretty quickly by using the diode check function on a multimeter, or if you don't have one of those, by using a battery with a resistor and a couple of wires.
