A little (a lot) of assistance on a sound detecting robot (bandpass filter, mic)

Hello, I am trying to build a robot that finds a source emitting a 20kHZ noise. The robot will spin 360 degrees and the mic will sense which direction the sound is the loudest, send a signal to the arduino and maneuver in that direction. The robot may need to work in an area where there is a large amount of background noise (human talking) so I need to build a bandpass filter. I have found several tutorials online but I don't know how to connect it to a mic. I am also not sure what mic I can use because I need a directional mic or one which the sound input will vary when it does its 360 spin (about 5 inch radius), I was thinking about something like this but I don't know if it fits the criteria above. Thanks for any responses.
