just now i m working on a prj of a wind/solar charge and rpm measurement and controller ckt using pic controller.
but i dont know the prices of the components so i m unable 2 estimate the budget
will u plz tell me the prices of these components in RS.

"RPM measurement" would imply that it needs a display too.

I would use a text LCD and use that to display the control settings and also the RPM.

Here is a low-cost kit that can do the charge controller function OR the RPM display. I guess you could buy 2 kits to get both functions. Anyway there is free source code there you can use, it might give you ideas;
