Sgt Wookie:
Yes it's actually a lab in my CS 141 class. My instructor is out sick and the sub does not have a clue. I already built and tested a 4-bit binary to Excess-3 code converter. But I am confused as to how can I cascade TWO 7483A adders to add two 8-bit numbers.
I would appreciate your help.

OK, I can't do it FOR you. But if you're really stuck, we can help.
Note that the 7483A has "Carry In" (pin 13) and "Carry Out" (pin 14).
How do you think you might connect the inputs and outputs of that IC?
Do you have a schematic created that you can post?
.png format is preferred. .jpg images are too "lossy"; they lose much detail. .PDF format takes too long to load up.
It can be a bit sticky the way some of the manufacturers name those pins. For example, TI called them "C0" and C4" instead of "Carry In" and "Carry Out".
