My car has a 6V system. The regulator is set at 6.6V The signal lite flasher
operates sporatically at 7V and properly at 8V. Need a circuit fed by 6V to generate 8V. Jack:

Modifying car electronics especially the lights system is dangerous. We should get moderator approval beforehand.

It is likely that the designers of the vehicle would have taken into account that the flashers would not work on a low voltage. Perhaps the vehicle is not intended to run from such a voltage.

I get over 12,000 hits on "6 volt turn signal flasher". If you have some classic car with a 6 volt system, the entire electrical system needs to be compatible with that voltage.

Chances are theres a 12V flasher in there that needs to be put back to a 6V one.
