5V Regulator for Light Weight RC?

Hi Forum,

Can someone help me find a voltage regulator chip that is hopefully SMD or small, light topography for use with (2) LiPo's in receiver circuit of an RC glider? Need to handle 1.0 to 1.5 Amps. I could use one cell and a boost regulator too?

Thanks!

Run the 2 LiPo cells in series and buck it down to 5V with a high freq switcher. If you want best efficiency and minimum power dissipation, stay away from the simple switchers and get a synchronous rectifier controller with external FETs. You can get those designs well above 90% efficiency. A simple switcher is not efficient when Vin is close to Vout.

I don't have time to research that right now. I can only hope the google answers include a calculator and circuit boards for sale.
