So me and a group of electronic engineers are designing a midi device for our semester project. My task on this project is to design a timer that can output 32 kilobits per second.
My instructor suggested using a 555 timer as a clock and tweaking it so that the output pulses 32kbps. Only problem is my knowledge of 555's are few as we did not cover them much in year 1 and I do not know where to start.
Can anyone give me a hand in doing this?
