Hi guys... i am having time on how to make a circuits that makes a small dc motor operates for 2 secs and stops for 1 sec, using the 555 timer ic, and has also a photoresistor. To simplify my idea, I want to make make the simple robot to run away from light and has the motion like cockroaches.

thanks in advance...
best regards,

Welcome

You said you have time and you want to make one.
So, please make one and show us what you did.

But I wonder if cockroaches run for 2 secs and stop for 1 second.

Put some more thought into this, how would you control direction? How would the robot know where the light was in relation to it in order to run away from the light and not into the light? What kind of 555 based circuit can turn on then off repetatively? How can one control the on and off time periods? How would you stop it once it is in the dark?
There is much to consider, don't expect us to do all your dirty work for you!

what i am thinking is that, the bot has must have the constant motion runs for 2 secs and stops for 1 sec.. adding a photoresistor makes it more interesting that it will move away from it (reversing the motor's polarity, i guess).
