555 pulse width modulation

I would like to know if it is possible to modulate the output pulse width of this circuit without drastically modifying it. Ideally I want the frequency to be controlled by the 10k pot and the pulse width to be controlled by a pot connected to pin5. Would that work or would the pot on pin5 affect the overall frequency of the circuit ? :confused:

No, this circuit wont work.

Search in google for '555 tutorial' to learn more about it and also search for 'PWD with 555' to see some circuits.
