i did ask a company about there 400 hz to 60 hz converters but they said there is nothing they have to do it, seems they only go other way 60 hz to 400 hz as i can tell.

This company has converters from 1kva to 200kva with optional 400Hz input (option 10 at the bottom of the page).

thanks timescope, i did see it and looked fast.
guess i didnt catch the 400hz input part, my bad.
ill have to call them when i get some time and see what they say about the hole deal and get some prices.
there were over 20 these generators sold all at the same time as the 1 i was trying to buy, some even went for over $2000, all difrent years from 1984-1995 and 15 hrs to 3k hrs so lot ppl are buying these and more are coming up in next couple weeks from 100kw to 3kw 400hz and some but not many (all smaller 10-3kw) 50/60 hz.

 

It sounds good if the converters are reasonably priced.
