i have to design a 4-to-1 multiplexor using transmission gates and inverters.
i also have to derive the truth table and draw the ckt

Ask your teacher if they mean a quad bilateral switch.

 

no worries i think i did it correct. i used (3) 2-to-1 muxs to make it
