Hi all,

Can anyone tell me the difference between 2pin crystal and 4pin crystal packages and cct symbols and their behaviour

Hi,
it all depends really...and the best place to look for the info is probably the manufacturer datasheet.
For example, we are using 2 legged and 3 legged crystal here and the difference between them is whether they have built-in capacitors.

I am convinced that a 4 pin crystal has 1 or 2 of its pin not connected anywhere....
to be checked...
