hi all, i want to make a 4-bit ALU with logic gates only and i'm looking for a complete circuit diagram that can allow me to do so, till now i can't find anyone all the circuits i found are missing the reset and CLK buttons, does any one have the complete circuit for a 4-bit ALU ? , any help would be appreciated.

 

Alu is a combinatorial circuit, so the reset and clock inputs would serve no purpose.
Look here at a complete 4bit ALU, no clock or reset in there.

 

I have to implement 8 bit Alu.....but it should be a sequential circuits,,,,,confused ....Basically I would use registers to store the input data and output.

Yes. You will also need to connect flag bits in the right way to make it truly 8bit.
