If anyone could help, I would GREATLY appreciate it!

I am trying to get 0-10vDC from an AC drive's analog output of 4-20mA signal.

I thought that all I would need to do is put a 500 ohm resistor in series with the output and be able to get this, but it is not working.

I have also tried putting the resistor in parallel and am having no luck.

Can anyone help with this?

The circuits I have seen use operational amplifiers for this purpose.
