when finding phase voltage you divide by √3?

a 600 Volt line produces how many volts phase?

and when finding line voltages you χ by √3?

a 4160 Volt phase producs how much line voltage?

 

It will depend on if it's a star or delta connection.

for example if it's a star connected balanced load to get your phase voltage you do Vline/√3=Vphase.

But if it's a delta line voltage = phase voltage
