Hi

I have seen many LCD displaying 2D characters and I am curious about how this is done using C. Well I have seen the source code for displaying a 2D character involving an array initialized with HEX number, I dont understand the meaning of these HEX numbers. I only know the hex numbers for normal characters.
Any help about hex numbers for 2D characters, where I can find some information?

 

There are softwares to convert custom characters to hex values for LCD and images to hex values for GLCD, such example would be MikroC .

 

Apart from the software are there other means (sites) of doing that
