I have 2 old underwater plastic diving lights that I would like to upgrade to the brightest possible led light.
Each light has to last about 2 hours before recharging.
The first light currently runs off of 4 aa batteries.
The second has a 4.8v 4.4amp/hour nickel cadmium battery.
They both have water proofed mechanical on/off switches.
See attached
Can anyone let me know what to buy to best to convert these into brightest led lights we can.
I understand that the brighter LEDs need a resistor circuit and a heat sink.
Will the heat sink effect the plastic casing?
If I can get a list of the part numbers to order that would be good.
A plan drawing would help also.
I am an airframe/ engine aircraft engineer by trade so have some electrical knowledge.
