Hi
I would appreciate some advise. I don't have much electronic design experience. I am playing around with a new Tektronix Function generator (AFG1022) and Tektronix Oscilloscope (TBS 1052B).
I have set my Function Generator to 2v peak-to-peak (-1v to 1v) 1KHz sine wave. Load set to 50ohms.
When I output the 2v p-p signal across a 1Kohm resistor, the oscilloscope measures 4v p-p?? Can anyone explain why the scope is reading twice the voltage from the Function Generator.
Apologies if this a simple question but I am quite inexperienced in the basics.
Many thanks
Mac
