I'm new to circuit boards. I'm having issues disconnecting these connectors without felling like I'm going to break them. Am I missing a release. ANy help is appreciated.
They look like the type that have a small keyed side, it should be possible to ease them out with a small pressure, it may make it easier to pull the 'keyed' side with a small screwdriver.
Max.
If prying the locking fingers of the receptacle slightly away from the plug doesn't work (it usually does) , insert something flat in the gap between plug and socket here (red dot) and twist:
That gives a controlled force that is not on the wires. Curved "hemostats" work well and can apply force to both sides evenly.
It should go without saying, don't just pull on the wires.
