Frequency for motor PWM is usually 18kHz to 20kHz range. To keep at high audio range that most people can't hear.

Why it is usually keep in 18kHz to 20kHz range ? Just to reduce noise pollution only? Thank you.

 

If it's a traction motor or needed to drive a high load at low RPM you should use a low freq PWM, generally 400Hz or so.
