A major factor in an op amp for generating triangle waves is the slew rate. That's the speed at which the output can rise in voltage and is measured in V/uS. The 741 will probably not keep up at 20kHz. It does about 0.5V/uS. The LM318 is < $1 and does 50V/uS. There are many others.
