Hi,
car lighting 12V,
I have two led light cicuits in a clear lamp one is red, brake and the other is white, reverse

There are two sets of brake lights on either side of the car,
I want to have the reverse lights take priority over the brake lights
on the inner pair only, keeping the outers standard brake for obvious reasons.

as mentioned i previous posts i know nothing of eletronic switches etc

for this i'm thinking i need some type of priority switch (correct name)?
when the live is active for the reverse it should cancel the live for the brake if the brake is live at that time,

can anyone suggest or show me a link to that type of switch for auto 12v
also is there a flow chart / diagram of the switches paths
thank you in advance

using a combo of NPN and PNP transitors you could wire it so that when the reverse lights are on it will unbias the red led transistor.

thanks, i just had a thought after i posted it, i could use a headlamp relay, they have tiny solinoids in that operate breakers,
i'm gonna sound like a right thicko if NPN and PNP transitors are exactly that !!?
