Hi All,

I'm new to the forum, but from reading through posts i can tell there is a lot of knowledge here.

Pretty simple problem:
School project, using a 12V battery to operate a small motor and a valve's solenoid. I think I've got the circuit, but am not positive... (see diagram).

Does this make sense? Are there any other considerations i should add?

Also trying to make a cheap battery charger for this... i have an ac-dc converter, and a cig lighter battery charger... will these do the trick?

Thanks in advance for your advice.

Looks workable; R1~ 47 ohms @ 1/2 W, snubber in parallel with SOL1- 62 ohms ,1/2 W, in series with .1uF; maybe diode in parallel with CR1, cathode toward +.
