Hi,

I am trying to come up with a circuit to control a 12v linear actuator which has to move up and down by remote control. It also has to have a 'limit switches' to limit the travel of the actuator and stop it when it has reached a specific distance. Also it needs to have some sort of overload protection.

I am not good with elecronics at all but I have looked at a few circuit diagrams that there are available online however non of them suit my particular situation. I would be very greatful if anyone could help me.

Do you have a make/model # of the actuator? Some have built-in end-of-travel limit switches and feedback position pots. It makes a difference in the design options.
