NEED HELP....I just replaced the mirrors on my truck with heated Mirror from the junk yard. Both elements work when hooked up the 12v power source. My plan is to wire them up to a fused power source with a switch, so when my mirrors are covered with snow I can throw the switch and melt the snow. I would like to hook up a relay so that when I throw the switch they would cut off automatically after lets say 10-12 min.

Is this possible? Can I just buy something from fleabay already done. What do I need ?????? a 12v power-on delay relay or a 12v power-off relay, I just don't know? Point me in the right direction.

If my plan is not possible, I will just scape the idea and just turn them on/off manually.

You need a 555 timer configured as a 10 minute monostable that drives a Relay top switch ON the heaters.
