I own a honda generator-EX5D-and it no longer charges the battery. I trace the output charging voltage of 20volts DC to a black three pin component. One of the lead wires from this component goes to the +ve battery terminal, which I assume carries the charging current to the battery. I further assume that this black three pin component acts as a DC voltage regulator thus reducing/regulating the 20volts DC to around 14 volts DC to charge the battery. Would someone with knowledge of this generator correct me if am wrong and instruct me as to how I can find a suitable replacement of this black 3-pin component (C1502R 14b). I tried to cross reference it in the ECG semiconductor cross reference, to no avail. Thank you in advance.

 

A circuit diagram would be helpfull, or atleast a good clear photo of the part & where it is.
