Abstract
A motion detector is a device that detects moving objects, particularly people. security system captures information and transmits it via a WiFi to a static IP, which is viewed using a web browser from any smart device. ELB-REV4 board controls a video camera for surveillance. It streams live video and records the motion detected parts in the cloud and/or in the windows shared folder for future playback. The cameras automatically initiate recording when motion is sensed and the development board stores it in a secured folder.

1. Introduction

Motion activated security surveillance camera is a cheap alternative to setting up a security system in daily life, house or office. ELB-REV4 is powerful to capture video and able to view live video in web browser and mobile app as well as auto record videos when motion is detected and sent the notification. This is great for saving precious space on microSD card and only keeping the videos we need. We can also save the videos and delete them after a set amount of time. Setting up a motion capture security camera with open source python script and daemon tools name as MotionEye. Using the picamera python package was very easy and resulted in a decent motion detection program. It can only pull and compare images at 1 frame per second. Setup a network of security cameras with multiple ELB-REV4 board and monitor all of camera over one interface. If cost and space is an issue it is possible to upload all our videos to Dropbox or Google Drive account for easy access anywhere from the internet. This is low cost solution to building a motion capture security system for house and it can also use for an outdoor security system as well to monitor front door, baby etc.

Objective:

Motion security surveillance camera system that is run and controlled over Local network and Internet. Enable extra services with the service settings menu. The extra services enable with MotionEye are FTP, Samba and SSH support. These will come in handy depending on how you want to transfer your security cameras videos and pictures.

Implementation:

Install Motion Detection Package on CPU, We are using ELB-REV4 Linux Board which has inbuild Wi-Fi connectivity.

Download and install the following packages by inserting the following commands into the terminal.

That’s all need to do before moving on to configuring Motion so that it will run on ELB_REV4 Board.

Setting up outside External Access

Enable external access to the Raspberry Pi webcam server, need to change some settings on the router. Please note, opening ports to the internet comes with a security risk.

1. Go to forwarding option of router

■ Service port: In this case 48461

■ IP Address: 192.168.1.103

■ IP Address: 192.168.1.103 (Address of ELB-REV4)

■ Protocol: All

■ Status: Enabled

2. These settings will route all traffic destined for port 48461 to the webcam server located at the IP address and port provided. (192.168.1.103:8081)

3.Now able to connect to the ELB-REV4 webcam stream outside your networkneed to restart the router for changes to take effect.

Router Port Forwarding

If unable to connect outside your local network then:

■ Check router settings and confirm they are correct.

■ Check IP hasn’t changed (Some IPs will provide with a dynamic IP rather than a static IP).Setup the DNS .

■ Restart the router.


LITERATURE SURVEY

In literature an IOT based system and its advantages are explained which uses email notification and cloud to store data, literature discussed about remote image data transfer to android device with wireless LAN but with limited distance constrain. The limitation of CCTV cameras is discussed in while the real time systems provide an immediate response for crime detection and the prevention. The main principle of network remote video surveillance system based on embedded system as discussed in literature is to set an embedded web server at the video surveillance terminal. The video signal should be digitized first, then compressed by the high compression chip and finally is sent to the built-in web server. In literature power management is explained in sensor base system. The continuous monitoring of the videos is not required as discussed in where the video frames were compared with a template image. While comparing if any intrusion is detected then the authorized person is notified via GSM which include one extra hardware in system and make is costlier. talks about performance evolution of PIR sensor of deployment schemes, evaluated in a Java based simulation environment. They operate autonomously in unattended environments. And literature suggests system, captures video, shares among networked systems andalso alerts the controlling person with short message service. This considers visual transporting, storing, raising, using and connecting object with internet


Conclusion:

The motion detection will allow to configure cameras security settings for recording a change in motion. You’ll be able to adjust your frame change and adjust how many frames to record before and after motion is detected. You can play around with these settings and see which settings work best for your setup.
