I saw small lenses for sale for CMOS camera modules.

These are 2.1mm and 2.8mm lenses.

Are these kind of zoom lenses or what these do? And how much zoom these add?

Usually a single number such as 2.1mm indicates a fixed (non adjustable) lens. A lens marked 3-9 indicates it's 3 to 9 power adjustable(zoom) lens. I just used these numbers as examples, they could be any number.

The subject on lenses can be quite deep, it is one of the big bucks items professional photographers have to pay for.
