Can anyone tell me what this means? Did I do something wrong? This showed up in my alerts:

"Your post in the thread What is the DC component? was moved to What is the dc component in this case?. Reason: You got you own thread."

    Thanks

You did nothing wrong. The person asking the question hijacked an old thread, so it was moved into a separate one (likely because I reported it to the moderators). If you're watching a thread, you'll be notified if it gets moved.

I guess you added on to someone else's thread. This is sometimes called "hijacking". There is no harm, no foul. Getting your own thread may help you get better answers and feedback to your own questions.

Oh ok, it was weird because all I did was answer someones question. I didn't really ask anything new. But that's cool. Thanks!
